Local authorities are becoming increasingly aware that buying non-original replacement parts can actually save money and time. Salisbury District Council’s Commercial Services Department have been ordering Spaldings replacement parts for many years. The council’s Contract Supervisor, Graham Dewey, said: “The advantage to us is that there are fewer failures and therefore less downtime. This saves us a lot of time and effort when trying to keep the machines running during the cutting season which is our busiest time of the year when resources are most stretched.
