SPALDINGS EXPANDS WORKSHOP RANGE WITH INTRODUCTION OF NEW MIG WELDERS
New range of MIG welders provide excellent workshop versatility through rugged design and intelligent microprocessor technology
Lincoln, 4th June 2009 – Spaldings today announced the introduction of two new professional grade welders to their workshop range. Their product portfolio now includes a 250 amp single phase MIG welder and a 410 amp three phase MIG welder. Both units are supplied with a ‘ready-to-weld’ kit consisting of a 3 metre euro torch, earth clamp and regulator as standard.
“The welding range at Spaldings has undergone a transformation. We have made it our priority to source industrial machines that remain dependable for years to come” says Alastair Ramsay, Marketing Manager for Spaldings. “The robust design and 12 month warranty provide reassurance that our machines are designed for optimum workshop performance.”
The single phase 230 volt MIG welder features six heat settings capable of welding wire up to 1.2mm in thickness from a 5kg or 15kg roll. The dual electric roller wire feed provides outputs from 40 to 250 amps, and is rated 115 amps at 60% duty cycle. Complete with a spot welding timer feature and automatic burn back control the compact single phase MIG provides a consistent and smooth high quality weld.
Industrial heavy-duty requirements are met in the three phase 415 volt MIG welder, which boasts 21 voltage settings for effortless use with 1.6mm welding wire. The digital display allows for enhanced usability in providing outputs of 50 to 410 amps and allows for a duty cycle of 290 amps at 60% duty cycle. Flexibility of on-site fabrication is achieved through an isolated wire feed and an additional 5 metre cable for unrestricted access.
“Steel, stainless steel and aluminium welding wire can be utilised with either machine” Ramsay says. “Combined with the robust castor wheels these new workshop additions offer the end user maximum versatility that is capable of completing any workshop application.

SPALDINGS INTRODUCE HEAVY DUTY STEEL CHESTS
Ultimate protection is provided from a high density steel construction for the safe storage of valuable tools and small machinery
Lincoln, 16th June 2009 –Spaldings today announced the introduction of a set of 3 Truecraft branded van safe chests. The Truecraft chests are constructed from 3mm robust steel with anchorage points for fixed installation. The high tensile additions will offer cost effective security solutions and maximum storage confidence.
“The economic downturn and rising unemployment has resulted in an increase of farm related theft meaning that on-site security is now more prevalent than ever” says Alastair Ramsay, Marketing Manager for Spaldings. “The set of 3 Truecraft chests have been introduced as a way of keeping valuable workshop equipment safe.”
The Truecraft chests are fully reinforced with steel bars which are welded to the inside of each lid for added resistance to break-ins. The heavy duty full width split piano hinge provides maximum durability, whilst the internal twin locking arms provide lid support, to prevent accidental closure.
Ranging from 48” to 30” the Truecraft chests can be conveniently stacked inside one another and offer a variety of storage applications. The heavy duty bottom bolsters allow for easy installation or lifting with a forklift. The two larger chests incorporate 2 recessed padlock eyes which are carefully housed to prevent access via bolt cutters.
“The Truecraft chests have been designed with a tremendous attention to detail, from the weather resistant hammer finish to the reinforced design” Ramsay says. “Our customers can be safe in the knowledge that their valuables stay out of the hands of criminals.”
